Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we?re looking to add a Test Technician located in Columbia, SC. Reporting to the Sr. Test Engineering Manager, the Test Technician role involves conducting tests and troubleshooting electronic product, components and systems to ensure production quality standards are met. Shift: 4:00 pm – 2:30 am (M, Tu. We, Th) What a typical day looks like: Providing test support to the production line in any one of the automated PCB line areas or disciplines: Laser Etching, IC Programming, SPI, AOI, X-Ray, 3D inspection, ICT FCT, Hi-Pot, and GT. Develops, maintains, and improves test and burn-in processes within areas of responsibility. Periodically reviews all process specifications to determine if they accurately reflect the process requirements and test techniques. Updates the specifications as required. Consistently reviews quality yields and develops corrective actions to eliminate any yield detractors, further improves the process and product reliability. Works with the Quality Engineer to determine if field/box line data indicates a need for process/product improvement Ensures that effective preventive maintenance, calibration, diagnostics, requalification, and daily measurement schedules are in place for each test and burn-in process. Coordinates manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering preventive maintenance activities. Ensures that scheduled preventive maintenance activities are completed according to the specified schedule. Assists with the fabrication and development of new equipment, fixtures, and test programs. Assists engineering and the development labs with all new product introduction and development. Assists Industrial Engineering with all equipment moves or line re-arrangements as required. Follows Engineering test processes. Trains manufacturing operators and other test engineering resources. Ability to perform high-level repair, format and “build” software per unit configuration and connect hardware (cables) between multiple units. Configures/troubleshoots PC (HW and SW), networks, power systems at multiple system levels. Performs module validation/verification. The experience we?re looking to add to our team: Requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience. PCBA troubleshooting experience required Microsoft Office experience required Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Experience with Linux. High voltage troubleshooting experience preferred.
