JOB OPENING – TEMPORARY Full-Charge Bookkeeper or Staff Accountant / Software Implementation Specialist. 4 – 6 month Contract. Immediate Hire.
Hours are 8a-5p CST at 40 hours, starting immediately. As the project comes closer to the deadline, more than 40 hours may be available.

Description
We are looking for an accountant with a high work ethic, respect for others, professionalism, unwavering integrity, and impeccable attention to detail. A varied background, project management, and great communication skills are essential. Corporate (GAAP Compliance), small business, and non-profit experience and knowledge are necessary. This individual needs to be able to think outside of the box; reconcile the general ledger accounts to the bank feed and subsidiary ledgers; manage A/R and A/P; and control fixed assets, complex loans and lease reporting; consolidate financials; review financials for key take-aways and red flags. It is important for this person to be able to explore how Sage works and understand how to trouble-shoot problems between Sage and raw data. Must not falter on attention to detail, to be a self-starter, and to be able to work independently, as well as part of a team. Experience with Google Drive and Sage Intacct a plus!

The ability to interact positively and professionally with people is a must as this position has a significant amount of client and staff interaction.
Responsibilities
? Support current team, as well as take lead on assigned aspects of the project
? Identify, map, and implement processes
? Ensure processes presently in place are audit-proof
? Communicate and partner with the Billing Department to ensure new policies, procedures, and accounting methods are implemented and seamlessly applied
? Test all processes to ensure accuracy
? Assist in the migration from current accounting methods/software to new methods/software
? In short – assist in creating from ground level a full-scale accounting department
? Assist in working through two year’s worth of data in the migration/accounting portion of the project
Basic qualifications for the opportunity
? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
? 3 – 4 years’ experience in an accounting department as a full charge bookkeeper
? Proficiency with tech and comfortable learning new tech. Excel, Slack, Sage Intacct, Quickbooks Online, etc.
? Demonstrates a strong understanding of the accounting processes
? Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of information
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Possesses superior customer service skills
? Capable of working and communicating effectively with professionals at all levels
? Able to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects/tasks with an attention to detail
? Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
? Knowledge of general accounting principles
? Good working knowledge of AP, AR, Payroll, monthly P&L and balance sheets
Other Non-Negotiable Requirements:
? Must have fast internet and a fully functioning computer (two monitors is a plus).
? A work space that is separate from any other individuals (children, family, etc) to allow for focus during all work hours.
? Must not be supervising or caring for any individuals while on the clock (children, family, etc).
Ideally, you’ll also have
? Experience in public accounting
? Prior experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred, Experience with Sage Intacct even better
? Strong time management and organizational skills
? Great attitude and strong work ethic, striving for excellent results
? Great communication and analytical skills
? Knowledge and experience with GAAP, Accrual, Multi-Entity, complex accounting
? Knowledge and Experience in the trucking / factoring industries
