About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Loan Examination Specialist! This position reviews loan documentation, files and/or on-line transactions, individually or in aggregate, to determine if processes and documentation are in compliance with internal company requirements, insurer guidelines, investor requirements, and/or government regulations. Functions may cover one or more of the following areas: Underwriting, regulatory compliance, fraud, fair lending, and servicing. Examines overall loan documentation (application, appraisal, title, credit, income, including personal and corporate tax returns and rental income, loan-to-value, legal documents) and system documentation of unusual, complex, and/or high-risk transactions. For transactions identified with investor deficiencies, provides feedback to internal and external customers, including identification of fraud red flags and inconsistencies. Clearly communicates in written form overall transaction quality and any noted… deficiencies identified. Analyzes risks and offsets and develops solutions for the risks and/or complex problems identified. Provides support for exam management activities and any other initiatives as needed. Maintains a high level of customer service through proactive communication with external and internal customers, including vendors. Works in a team environment to achieve business, production and quality goals. Ensures loan quality through data integrity and risk management In this role, you will: Participate in building business partner relationships and identify opportunities for maintaining them within defined parameters Analyze risks and offsets related to performing in-depth, prefund loan reviews Present recommendations for resolving various issues related to reviews and loan files Exercise independent judgment while developing an understanding of compliance related to internal company requirements Provide communication regarding overall process and transaction quality to appropriate parties Required Qualifications: 2+ years of Underwriting experience, Loan processing, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Experience reviewing or underwriting property insurance Prior Wells Fargo Home Lending Insurance Review Team experience Job Expectations: Ability to work 9AM to 6PM CST Ability to work Hybrid Schedule Review property hazard and flood insurance policies adhering to mortgage lending policy guidelines and processes.
