As the Finance Manager for Fresh Online Strategy, you will have a pivotal role in leading comprehensive P&L modeling, providing decision support for strategic initiatives, and fostering collaboration with cross-functional partners to propel business growth and enhance profitability. You will closely work with business leaders to evaluate and support strategic initiatives within the Online Grocery space, while simultaneously partnering with Whole Foods Market (WFM) and Prime teams.
You will be directly responsible for leading entitlement modeling for key Online Grocery product/program initiatives during planning cycles, leveraging robust financial analysis to assess and refine performance. Your strategic insights and recommendations will be instrumental in advancing product development initiatives, prioritizing revenue growth while concurrently improving profitability.
Key job responsibilities
– Serve as the primary finance lead for online fresh finance endeavors, adeptly blending analytical acumen with strategic vision, and adeptly interfacing with senior executives.
– Lead comprehensive P&L modeling and provide decision support for strategic initiatives within Online Grocery, encompassing analysis of delivery fee structures and alternative business models.
– Drive entitlement modeling for pivotal Online Grocery product initiatives during planning cycles (Gui, OP), ensuring thorough analysis and strategic alignment.
– Act as subject matter expert (SME) for Grocery’s Prime Allocation Revenue, working closely with the Prime team to quantify and elucidate Grocery’s allocation during planning cycles (Gui, OP).
– Engage in collaborative strategic modeling with partners across Whole Foods Market (WFM) and Prime teams to drive cross-business projects forward.

The Grocery Finance organization is dedicated to shaping the long-term strategy and future of grocery, omnichannel and new physical store formats across Amazon.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5 years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
– BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5 years of finance experience, or Master?s degree and 3 years of finance experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
– 6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
– MBA, or CPA
– Knowledge of SQL/ETL
– Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
– Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
