What does a day in the life of a Content Moderator look like?
? As a Content Moderator, you will be responsible for maintaining order and ensuring a positive and welcoming environment within the community.
? Day-to-day duties will include monitoring conversations and enforcing community rules.
? Work closely with a team of developers and Content Moderators to ensure the server runs smoothly and the community has a great experience.
? Handle a large volume of user interactions and feedback.
? Continuously improves knowledge of products, services, and processes by participating in training programs and continuous learning modules
? Maintains a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward users and colleagues at all times
? Adheres to company policies and procedures
? Meets or exceeds performance targets for related KPIs
? Performs other duties as assigned
What are the required qualifications of a Content Moderator?
? 4-year college degree or equivalent business experience.
?… Minimum of 2 years previous experience in content moderation via Discord (Open to freelancers)
? Familiarity with popular moderation bots such as Dyno, Xenon, AutoMod or Carl-bot.
? Good communication skills, both verbal and written
? Proficient in using computers and various software applications.
? Ability to stay calm and rational under pressure and remain committed to maintaining a positive environment.
? Knowledge of common moderation practices such as banning, muting, and deleting accounts and messages.
? Ability to identify and address abusive and problematic behavior, including harassment, hate speech, and trolling.
? Understanding of basic security measures such as requiring two-factor authentication for access to servers.
? Familiarity with managing the flow of conversations and keeping conversations on-topic.
