We are looking for a dedicated Virtual School Sign Language Interpreter to join our team and work for a school district in Ohio. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide accurate and fluent interpretation in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Work closely with teachers, students, and parents to ensure smooth and effective communication
• Offer constructive feedback to enhance accessibility and inclusivity for students
• Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions and documentation
• Utilize remote communication tools and platforms (such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet) to facilitate virtual interactions
Qualifications:
• Certification or License as a Sign Language Interpreter
• Previous interpreting experience, preferably in a virtual setting
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Reliable high-speed internet connection with a dedicated workspace
