Responsibilities
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of students with disabilities.
• Create and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support each student’s unique learning requirements.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to ensure academic growth.
• Collaborate with fellow educators, school staff, and parents to create a supportive learning environment.
• Maintain open and effective communication with all stakeholders, demonstrating professionalism and sensitivity.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid State Teaching Certification as a Special Education Teacher.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in using educational technology.
• Clear fingerprint background check.
• Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to communicate tactfully and discreetly with school staff and parents.
